SECTION 4.3 TRIANGLE

CONGRUENCE BY ASA AND AAS

ANGLE SIDE ANGLE - ASA

If two sides and the included side of one triangle are congruent to two angles and the included side of another triangle, then the two triangles are congruent

ANGLE ANGLE SIDE - AAS

If two angles and a nonincluded side of one triangle are congruent to two angles and the corresponding nonincluded side of a second triangle, then the two triangles are congruent.

EXAMPLE

State the third congruence statement that must be made in order to prove ABC DEF using the indicated postulate or theorem.

EXAMPLE Is it possible to prove the triangles are congruent? If so, state the postulate or theorem you would use.
