LANDSCAPES

The landscape of Emerald had been formed by a glacier. It had shaped the local hills. It is also thanks to the glacier that the valleys of our rivers (e.g. Łyna, Pasłęka and Symsarna) run along deep ravines, creating picturesque gorges. People enriched this scenery with wooden cottages and wayside shrines, creating a land of an unique atmosphere.
