Enjoy a leisurely ride down the crystal clear waters of Korea’s famous Hantan River. The Hantan waters flow gently through scenic valleys and forest mountainsides of

the Kangwon-do province. The waters are cool, clean and clear, and the lush, wooded valleys offer stunning scenery. Hantan River is a popular destination for rafting

enthusiasts, drawing more than 100,000 visitors every summer.

Newcomer’s Orientation & TourOrientation: October 15 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.Local Tour: October 16 from 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.

A two-day orientation and tour provides newly arrived community members valuable information about life in Area I. The first day is orientation and a tour of St. Mary’s Hospital in Uijeongbu city. The second day is Dongducheon city tour. The first day orientation is required in order to join the Dongducheon city tour. Open to all Soldiers, spouses and civilians. Reservation required. Call 730-3107 to reserve your seat.
