Archstone International (Pty) Ltd. was established in 2007 by a multi-disciplinary partnership with core skills in civil engineering, construction management, quality control and quantity surveying.

The company is passionate about developing people in the industry and has mentored dozens of technical staff who have gone on to enrich

In 2018 we launched Archstone Construction South Africa which is proudly a Level 2 BBBEE company. Archstone Construction South Africa (Pty) Ltd. will be focusing on construction projects within South Africa and will benefit from the full support in terms of management, financing and guidance from Archstone International (Pty) Ltd. This will ensure that we fulfil our responsibilities towards South Africa’s commitment to change.

MANAGING DIRECTOR Christian Micha (Belgian) (Civil Engineering)

Christian began his career in the Democratic Republic of Congo as a partner of Encoba Construction before immigrating to South Africa. He has amassed more than 35 years’ experience in the construction industry, managing contracts and operations. Christian held Directorship at a leading construction company in South Africa before co-founding Archstone Construction in 2007. Christian is responsible for running the day to day business and financial management while still remaining very involved in site operations.

JOÃO DOS SANTOS – OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

João worked in the commercial construction sector for 12 years before starting his own construction company. João holds a Construction management degree obtained at the TUT. He brings more than 20 years’ hands-on experience in the trade and co-founded Archstone in 2007. João is responsible for client relations, best business practice implementation and project quality control while still remaining very involved in site operations.

PROJECTS DIRECTOR Bryan Bester (N. Building Diploma)

Bryan started his career in the industry in 2004 at a leading South African construction firm. Bryan holds a National Building Diploma qualification. He joined Archstone Construction in 2008 and has proven his competencies as a construction manager and senior contract’s manager with strong leadership abilities. Bryan is responsible for managing the overall contract operations, planning, programming, quality control, supervision and client liaison.

COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR Pedro Morgado (N. Building Diploma)

Pedro joined the company in 2008 and assumes responsibility for all Quantity Surveying, Costing of Bids and Procurement. Pedro holds a National Building Diploma qualification. He mentors and oversees the quantity surveying department with strong attention to detail and accuracy in dealing with tight programmes and deadlines. Pedro is responsible for client, sub-contractor and supplier liaison as well as budgeting and financial forecasting.

AHRLAC MANUFACTURING FACILITY - 2017

Project Description: Archstone was contracted to build this specialist manufacturing facility and office space at Wonderboom Airport, outside of Pretoria. The facility is dedicated to the manufacture of the AHRLAC fixed-wing aircrafts that will be completely manufactured and assembled at the facility. Project size: This impressive construction is 10 000m2 in size and has Grade A finishings. Construction type: Conventional. HILTI & STRYKER WAREHOUSES AND OFFICES - 2015 Project Description: Archstone was contracted for the construction of two industrial buildings, namely, Hilti and Stryker, each comprising of double storey office blocks with adjoining warehouses. The contract included all external works and services. There was also an access road with mini-sub installation required at the top end of the Stryker site to service both facilities. Project size: Hilti – Warehouse floor area 1 500m2, Office floor area 2 000m2 - grade A+ finishings. Stryker – Warehouse floor area 1 500m2, Office floor area 2 000m2 - grade A+ finishings. SERVEST - 2015

Project Description: Archstone was contracted to construct the new Servest facilities warehouse in Waterfall, Midrand. Project size: The facility consists of a 4 800m² office component split over three floors and a 1 800m² warehouse section. The warehouse has a stacking height of 15m which will allow Servest to maximise the stacking capacity of the warehouse.
