• 1996 Legislature created K-20 Network to be “an integrated and interoperable educational technology network serving kindergarten through higher education and promoting access for Washington citizens.”

• Collaborative effort of public and private K-12 and higher education, state government, the legislature, and the private sector

K-20 Operations Cooperative (KOCO) is staffed byUniversity of Washington and Washington State Department of Information Services technical resources.

Support is provided to the K-20 designated demarcation point and includes the following functions: • Intranet/Internet Network Operations Center• K-20 Help Desk for transport and switching services• ISDN Network Operations• K-20 Multipoint Interactive Video Scheduling and Event
