2017-18 IN REVIEW

The Washington Bullets would take on the sixth seed Atlanta Hawks in the first round of the playoffs. At that time, NBA playoff regulations called for teams to play three games in the first round, with the first team to win two games advancing. The NBA playoff rules were later changed in 2003 to a first-round best-of-seven series. In the first playoff game on April 12, 1978, Bob Dandridge led the team with 20 points and five other Bullets players added 10+ points each for a 103-94 home-court win. The next game would be played in Atlanta and it would take overtime for the Bullets to secure the hard fought victory, 107-103, and sweep the series against the Hawks. Kevin Grevey led all efforts with 41 points. The Washington Bullets would then go on to face the San Antonio Spurs in the Conference Semifinals.
