WHAT IS WATER?

Water is a very important resource, it is necessary for life.

WHY IT IS IMPORTANTFOR MANKIND ?

Water is essential to allow our body to function optimally and defend itself

Like man, the world is composed for the 71% of water.

WATER IN THE WORLD

The 71% of the Earth's surface is composed of water, but 97,5% of it is salt water. Of the remaining 2,5%, only 1% of soft water is used for

the human activities.

THE WATER CRISIS!

For the uneven geographical distribution of water resources that the population has,the disponibility of water for person changes much in the different countries.

DISTRIBUTION OF FRESH WATER IN THE WORLD

Countries lacking water

The countries lacking water (politically weak and lacking in water) are: Southern Asia, the Middle East and Northern Africa. The daily water consumption in these countries is only 20 liters a day for one family. Instead it is 165 liters a day for an European family.

The water situation in Italy

In Italy water isn't lacking but because of:-the increase of 1.5 degrees in

temperature;-the decrease of the annual precipitation

by 20%;- the stratum pollution;-the dispersion of 40% of water along the

water pipes;15% of the population for 4 months a year

are under the threshold of the 50 liters of day need

In the period from 15\09\2010 to 01\09\2011 6.606 m were used

In the period from 01\09\2011 to 4\09\2012 6.992m were used

In the period from 04\09\2012 to 10/09/2013 6.500m were used

In the period from 11\09\2013 to 23\09\2014 6.345m were used
