Light and compact Aquaphor filter pitcher is your first step towards living with clean and tasty drinking water.

A wide variety of colors and shapes make it possible to find a pitcher that fits any interior design and meets different water consumption needs.

Smaller pitchers have a total capacity of 2.5 liters and fit into the refrigerator door while larger models contain up to 4.2 liters and are suitable for a family. The filter cartridges can purify 300 to 350 liters of water depending on the model and change in a short time.

Offers the same filtration as with A5 Cartridge with the addition of Magnesium (MG). Enriches the water with Magnesium up to 30% of your recommended daily value. Used with Aquaphor filter jugs with A5 cartridge fit.

Crystal System K7B Bacteria filter is a K7B cartridge with solo head and can be used as a single filtration method if the waterhardness is not a concern in the water supply. If there are problems with hard water (limescale) it is recommended to use Quattro head with all the cartridges as it will pre-treat the water so the bacteria filter does not get clogged by limescale

3M Point Of Use Filter

3M is one of the leading manufacturers of filters for mounting just before use.

The 2 series from 3M are both mounted in a VH3 head and have “Sanitary Quick Change” which automatically shuts off the water if the cartridge is unscrewed.

The most simple series is called AP3 and consists of 2 models for filtering bacteria and lime respectively.

The lime model does not completely remove the lime, but encapsulates it in a fabric so that it cannot settle on surfaces.

The Scalegard Pro series is a lime control system designed to protect coffee machines and other vending machines from lime build-up.

The series is designed to prevent hard liming in heat hoses resulting in energy loss.

Most sizes are available in a bypass and no-bypass version. The Bypass version allows 25% of the water to pass through the unfiltered to retain some minerals in the water.

At Filter-Online we recommend no-bypass versions for applications where the water quality is good, but you want to improve the quality of, for example, the coffee.

Questions and answers about water filtrationHow long does a filter element last?The shelf life depends on how many particles are in the water, but as a rule of thumb a filter lasts for 6 months.

Filters with activated charcoal and 3M Point Of Use cartridges have a prescribed capacity, but can sit for a maximum of 6 months after contact with water.

What happens if you do not change element?When a particle filter saturates, the differential pressure increases.

Activated carbon filters collect organic matter and therefore bacterial growth can be formed if the filter is left too long.

What happens if you exceed the speci-fied flow?The flow indicated for each filter housing is based on a filtration with a 5 µm element and a differential pressure of 300 mbar. If you have a higher flow than the specified, the differential pressure will increase.

On an activated charcoal filter, the efficiency of the filter will decrease if the specified flow is exceeded.

How effective are the filters?Vana filter elements have an efficiency of about 90%.

3M AP3 has an efficiency of 99.95% at the specified flow.

Should you always have a 5 µm filter?Unless the water quality is already very good, it is always a good idea to install a 5 µm filter and thereby extend the life of the finer filters.

What is the difference between ’Scale Inhibition’ and ’ion exchange’By “scale inhibition”, the lime particles are encapsulated by a substance that prevents them from settling on surfaces and thus causing nuisance. However, they are still in the water.

Ion exchange removes the lime by replacing the calcium ions with harmless salts.

Vana Waterfilters

We have a wide selection of filter elements that can handle different filtering tasks. Our most used filter element is a 5 µm Polypropylene Depth Filter. This filter ensures a standard water quality.

If there are problems with ocher or iron particles in the water, we have a pleated filter of 0.5 µm.

An active carbon block is used against taste and smell, especially from chlorine. The carbon block binds organic matter and must be changed after 6 months to avoid bacterial growth.

When setting up 0.5 µm or active carbon block, a pre-filter of 5 µm is recommended.

Vana filter housings are high quality plastic filter housings. They are made of food-approved materials and designed for use on drinking water.

The choice of size depends on water consumption. The most common size is medium which can handle approx. 2 full tap taps at the same time. In the case of a larger household or a well with several houses, we recommend the Jumbo series for 80 or 150 l / min.

Bacteria & Legionella Filters

The Pentair Medical Water Filters deliver efficient and cost-effective membrane filtration to provide clean and safe water.

Pentair’s Sterile range of Medical Shower & Tap Filters from the X-Flow range of hollow fibre products is provided in gamma irradiated packaging for sterility and includes an anti-microbial surface to minimise the growth of bacteria on the Shower and Tap Filter.

Common bacteria such as Pseudomonas is transmitted to the filter from people’s hands during installation,

and can multiply at high rates in the right conditions, which promotes the possibility of the external

bacteria being washed into the flow stream and making contact with the patients, residents or staff. The

active ingredient used in the spray cap minimises this bacteria growth.

Ultra-Violet (UV) Filters

UV Disinfection - SABRE High quality stainless steel UV system provide assurance of safe water due to their high dosage rates of 30mj/cm². Whether the water source is from mains supply, borehole, well or river, microbiological contamination can be treated with Ultraviolet light. UV Light is effective against contaminants such as bacteria, cruses, mould spores, algae and other micro-organisms as it prevents growth and reproduction.

If left untreated, these organisms remain in the water and produce a bio-film coating throughout the water system which harbours more bacteria and makes the water less safe to use or drink. Benefits • Shortwave UV light dissociates the DNA within living cells which prevents further growth and reproduction. Recommended • It is recommended that pre-filtration is carried out to a level of 5 micron before the UV system. This removes visible particulate and reduces the ‘shadowing’ effect whereby organisms can be protected from the light by the presence of dirt, sediment and debris.
