TOTAL YEARLY FLOW 1987 - 2016 *TOTAL FLOW IN MILLION GALLONS

There was a decrease in discharge flow due to fewer rainfall events in 2016 which reduced inflow and infiltration in the collection system.

Page 10: Water Resources Director: Chris Graybeal4576E5AF... · 2017-10-18 · Chlorine 20,701 lbs. Fluoride ... 1,134 lbs. Water Treatment Plant Improvements The backup power supply system

The Granite Falls Wastewater Treatment Plant treated 110,498,000 gallons, or an average of 301,907 per day, of wastewater while meeting all effluent limitations in our permit. In 2016, our wastewater flow decreased by 19.3% from 2015 due to lower rainfall events. The

facility achieved a 97.6% combined efficiency removal rate and is operating below the permitted capacity.

Training and Qualifications

All Water Resources staff obtained their mandatory six hours of continuing education to maintain their certifications.

One staff member became certified as ORC of the backflow and cross connect program.

One staff member obtained wastewater certification.

Staff members attended required safety training.
