Club Ski Schools
Third generation skier and coach Rachel Donaldson gives Hunter Stewart
a few tips before he starts his turn. While nana Lynn Stewart keeps on
eye on progress from the boat.
Ski schoolers had all the history
behind them this year… with
Lake Hood being built on land
sold by Malcolm Stewart to the Aquatic Park society in 1989. His sister Bev Bagrie also
had grandson James Moore skiing on what was once the family farm. While Josh Hood is
making the most of the lake his grandfather Doug built, and Hugh and George reap the
benefits of their parents 25 year involvement in the development of the lake and Tourna-
ment Water ski site. Caendal Harris is also keen to follow in dads’ skis… Greg and Neil
were keen competitors back in the days of Lake Camp Champs and the Tekapo slalom.
… the old saying ‘Skiing’s a family sport’ has never been truer :)
Josh Hood, George Donaldson, Annabel Dolan, Angus Haugh, Harry Black and Hugh Donaldson
all have a bit of fun with a massed ski at the end of a days ski school…
19 skiers took part during the club’s two weeks of ski schooling pre Christmas
