Project Background:

This is an interactive sound installation. User will hear the sound (using a headphone) when they sit on each pillow provided and under the pillow there will be a sensor that will detect the pressure from the user. Nature sound (waterfall, rain, stream, waves and so on) will be use for this sound installation.

Aim and Objectives:- Help people to provoke their emotions using water therapy.- To prove that water therapy can help people reducing their negatives vibes in life.

Facts about water:- Water cleanses our wounds, washes away our sins and tears bring us release.- Washes away our negative thoughts and emotions and also restores our state of peacefulness.- Spiritual belief- Central component of some religious.

Motivation:For me, sometimes I do not know how to let go my stress or expressing my anger towards something. Recently, I found out that meditation is the best way to provoke my emotions. So i choose Water Therapy for my FYP because I want to help other people who have the same problem with me before.

What is Water Therapy?

Water therapy is the use of water to improve health. You can try water therapy treatment by yourself without any help from a specialist.

Benefits of Water Therapy:

- Water therapy helps to control anemia, rheumatism, general paralysis, obesity, cough, leukemia, eye-disease, headache and many other diseases.

- You will feel like relieving from the stress and makes you

energetic.

- Increased feeling of health and well being.

- Increased self-confidence

- Relaxation due to warmth and weightlessness.

Types of Water Therapy (according to the methods and types of water used)

- Basic Water Therapy* Drink 1.5 liters or 5-6 glasses of water as soon as you get up in the morning. * Start with drinking 3-4 glasses of water if you are unable to drink 5-6 glasses of water in the beginning.

- Physical Water Therapy* Swimming, swimming pool games, and water walking exercise. Physical Water Therapy relieves pain and muscle spasm, brings back walking patterns, enhances balance, and helps in recovery from surgery and sports injuries.

- Seawater Therapy* Bathing and swimming in concentrated seawater. Concentrated seawater has been found to be the mildest water to the human body. * Seawater helps in weight loss and cellulite control.

- Spa Treatment* The benefits of spa therapy include relaxation due to warmth and weightlessness,

increased feeling of health and well-being, and improved self-confidence and mood.

* This is when sound will be played during the treatment to give more impact tothe person who’s doing this kind of treatment.

- Hot Water

* Warm and hot water act by expanding blood vessels.

* Hot water may be used in a compress for localized pain, or the patient may soak in a large bath for systemic relief.

* Can relieve stress and anxiety.

- Steam Treatment

* Steam hydrotherapy may take the form of a sauna, hot shower, sweat lodge or humidifier.

* This type of water therapy can help to loosen phlegm,

ease sore throats and moisten the upper-respiratory tract.

Final SynopsisWater Therapy is a sound installation that uses the sound of

water, which is nature sound like sea waves, ocean’s hum, raindrops and so on to give the relaxation effect to the users.

Five pillows will be placed on the floor and under the pillow there will be a pressure sensor (under each pillow). When users sit on each pillow, they will hear the sound using a headphone provided.

The objectives of this sound installation are to provoke user’s emotion through water therapy. Besides, water therapy can help people reducing their mental chatter, reducing their stress and washed away negatives vibes & thoughts. Water therapy also can increase our level of confident and make us feel more energetic. Some diseases like asthma, headache, cough, eye-disease, obesity and many other diseases can be

cure using water therapy treatment.
