Where does the water that we use come from?

• Fresh water – lakes, rivers, streams, ground water

• Most water on the planet is salt water.

• The saline content makes it poisonous to plants and animals.

• Chemicals are added to water to remove dirt.• Dirt drops

• In some parts of the world, people do not have water delivered to their home threw pipes. They must travel to get potable water.

• This can lead to life threatening diseases such as cholera.
