Since 2012, Alessandra Lanot (lifeafterbreakfast.ph) has been organising Craft Soirées where artists and makers gather for a show-and-tell afternoon of crafts and art swaps. There have been two Craft Swaps, and one Stationery Swap with over 70 artists participating in the events. The Watercolor Playdate & Swap, held last April 28 at the newly renovated Pipino in Teachers Village, Quezon City, was the 4th Craft Soirée, featuring 18 female watercolor artists from Manila.

Many describe the Artwork Swap as ‘Craft Christmas’. Each artists introduces herself and her work (watercolor artworks, art prints, or watercolored products), and then exchanges them for artworks with her other groupmates.

Watercolor play was also part of the program, and artists painted on postcards over a 3-course sit-down meal by Pipino.

Aside from the amazing art loot, all the guests got to take home gifts from MessyBessy, HeyKessy, The Lunchbreak Project, Craft Carrot, Pipino, Havaianas, and Herschel. Special prizes were given by Havaianas, Herschel, HeyJow, and The Lunchbreak Project.
