WebPLCWebPLC is a comprehensive reporting facility that provides for monitoring the product life cycle(POSH – Production, Orders, Shipments, on Hand inventory) over specified periods. It also offers comparison between specified periods, drill down to detail in specified reports and flexible graphical representation of results.

Page 4: Waterloo Information Systems Limited

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||  WISL  ||||||||||||  4

The cube is generated from the work order, orders/trips and inventory databases. The relevant time periods are based upon the corporate fiscal calendar with units of days, fiscal weeks, fiscal months and fiscal years. Reports may also be generated by calendar periods specified in ranges of dates.

Browser based, the facility offers a variety of report formats that may be generated for specified time periods. Additional record selection is based on various SKU criteria including defined product groupings.

Text reports provide for easy numeric comparison of chosen periods and drill down to work order, order, shipment, trip and inventory detail. Custom graphs offer scales that are automatically adjusted to best represent the data being presented.

An export facility allows utilization with other desktop facilities or interface with corporate systems.

The left most column displays the “Report Type” attribute followed by columns that display totals for “Planned”, “Produced”, Ordered”, “Shipped” and “On Hand” quantities during the selected period. The comparison table displays the same information for the corresponding “Report Type” attribute for the comparison period. Using the scroll bar to the right of the SKU/Product Line totals allows navigation through the report detail while the heading remains static at the top of the page.

The report is displayed initially sorted in the ascending order of the left most column but may be re-sorted in the ascending order of any of the columns by clicking on the heading. Clicking on the same column a second time will sort in descending order of that column. In this example we have sorted in ascending order of the “Ordered” column in the “Primary Table”. The corresponding attributes in the other table remain on the same line.

Placing the cursor over any number in the report will display the percentage and absolute difference between it and the corresponding number in the other table. In this example 2.52%(75.5 units) more of the RHY4Z product line was ordered during the “Primary” period than the “Comparison” period.

Drill down to more detailed information is available by clicking on any number in the report. Initially a list of the electronic documents is produced that includes the SKU/product line selected. In this case we clicked on the total for product line RHY4Z in the “Produced” column. Clicking on a specific “Work Order No” in the list initiates a display of the detail for that work order. In this example we click on work order 32508.

The format of the display for the “Day”, “Week” and “Month” reports is identical to that for SKU/Product Line. These reports include the totals of all SKUs planned, produced, ordered, shipped or on hand during the specified period. Drilling down on the “Day”(or “Week” or “Month” will generate a list of all SKU’s for which there was any activity during the period..

Graphs can greatly enhance information by allowing us to more readily gain an overview or perceive trends in data. To make optimum use of the capabilities of graphical presentation the raw numeric data must be effectively organized to minimize noise and enhance the imaging. Tools are available on this page to achieve these goals. By changing various settings on this page the graph may be generated many times without having to re-execute the report

Often with graphed data it is desirable to deal with a subset of the numeric data to achieve which may often be expressed as either “Most” or “Least” significant, leaving the remaining data in the “Other Category”.

To identify the “Significant” values to be graphed the specification may be done as a percentage of the total number of values in the Controlling Column or an absolute number. In this example we are specifying the 20 most significant values in the Controlling column to be displayed in the graph with the rest included in the “Other Category”
