When I was fifteen I decided to be a world champi-
on. I didn’t know what I was in for but I survived.

To find a better way to surf, I’m not saying that I’m
a horrible surfer but I’m saying that everybody

I was a very competitive kid when I was growing up
and I also loved a challenge. So I don’t think suc-
cesses was important to me.

Probably when I won my first event in 1993 and it
gave me a belief that I could win the world titles.
But first I had to beat the Australian girls.

Probably if your strong, fit, a hard worker and
have good balance then you’ll turn out to be a good
surfer.
