Dear Prospective Sponsor,
Thank you for your interest and taking the time to help our robotics program and team.
All Business sponsorships attained by the team will be used towards our registration and
remaining funds will be applied towards, supplies, materials, and transportation costs to compete
in the year’s FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). Information regarding FIRST Robotics and the
league our team is part of, Mid-Atlantic Robotics (MAR), can be found at www.usfirst.org and
www.midalanticrobotics.com correspondingly.
Our team consists of students from Honesdale High School and Western Wayne High School in
grades 9- 12. Students from both schools combine expertise and learning styles to develop a
competitive edge that well represents our schools. During the program, students engage in
learning and attaining experience in engineering, electronics, machining, welding, programming,
business plans, project management, presentation/soft-skills, and many more skills required to
produce a self-designed/produced competitive robot for FRC competition. This year, we will be
competing in our league with well over 100 teams located in Northeastern Pennsylvania, Delaware,
and New Jersey. Our goal is to attend the MAR Championship, and finish this season by qualifying
and competing in the FRC World Championship competition against 400 teams from around the
world.
More information about our team can be found at: http://waynecountyrobotics4285.org
In return for your generous support of the team, we will be displaying your business’s name/logo
on the team’s clothing, any news or media we produce or contribute to, informational flyers, our
website, and the team’s banner that will displayed at any public events we attend. Proper
sponsorships will be represented on the robot itself, through relative sizes that will be determined
by specifications of the robot. We will always gladly represent all our sponsors in every manner
possible to demonstrate your commitment to Wayne County Robotics.
We Thank You for your time, consideration, and all assistance you can offer! FRC Team 4285
The sponsors and volunteers of Camo-Bots keep us going, year
after year. All donations go directly to our robotics programs and the
management of the club. We are looking for technical mentors in areas of
Java Programming and Sensor / Electronic integration.
Who Are We ?
Wayne County Robotics is a nonprofit organization from Honesdale,
Pennsylvania comprised of 9-12 students and adult volunteers from
Pennsylvania. We participate in FIRST ( For Inspiration and Recognition of
Science and Technology) which is a worldwide robotics organization that
include thousands of teams and hundreds of thousands of students. Our
robotics programs encourage innovation and foster well-rounded life skills
including self confidence, communication, and leadership. As a non-profit
organization running a high-budget program, we rely on sponsor donations,
both in-kind and financial, to continue the work we do.
FIRST Robotics Students are
Four times as likely to pursue career in engineering
Twice as likely to purse a career in science and technology
More than twice as likely to volunteer in their communities
Eligible for over $30 million in scholarships
More important than competitive success and awards is the
fact that our members realize the values of STEM (Science, Technology,
Engineering, and Mathematics) while gaining a greater respect for the
benefits of a challenging education. Our organization gives students the
opportunity to work alongside industry professions and build foundations
essential to engineering such as those in machining, computer aided design,
programming, work ethic, problem-solving, and soft skills.
