ThursdayA Very Happy New Year!
The WCC New Year begins with a meeting
of the Contemporary Group on Thursday,
5th January.
There's no better way to blow the linger-
ing cobwebs of the old year away and get
started with something new for 2017.
Once again our meeting will feature work
and projects (including ideas and work in
progress) from our members plus inspira-
tional images gleaned from the world of
photography, this time featuring a round-
up of some brilliant street photography.
If you've not visited the Contemporary
Group before then come along and enjoy
the friendly atmosphere with image-shar-
ing, discussion and lots of friendly good
humour.
Do join us on Thursday if you can.
PDI Competition 3 deadline
for hand-in is
10th January.Judge: Ian Thompson ARPS
Please let Clive know if you have images
to share and whether they're PDIs or
prints. This helps enormously in planning
the evening.
The image below, The Last Angel, is from
Clive's ongoing 'Behind the Altar' series.

Secondly, several WCC members have again concluded a 366 project for 2016; if you are one of them, why not send in a few examplesfrom your year-long project? If you’ve never tried one, why not have a go this year? There are lots of Photo-a-Day sites on which to shareyour photos, if you wish to do so. Here are just a few from my own 366 which was done on an ageing Galaxy S5 phone, using theVignette app, a limited range of filters, and almost all with an instant Ilford presentation (a belated decision!). I hope to pop them into abook shortly; it’s more a diary than a work of art, but it was fun and I’ve started on 365 2017!
