Ballast Water Treatment SystemsFeasibility & Engineering studies
Retrofitting StudiesWe offer comprehensive turnkey solution packages for the selection and installation of various marine equipment.
We can ensure that the selection of the appropriate
marine equipment and the pertinent installation shall
meet the diverse needs regarding to each ship’s spe-
cific operational conditions and the related legislation
requirements, respectively.
Among the great number of regulations and available
technological solutions arises the need for a coopera-
tion with a partner with deep knowledge of the bal-
last water treatment process and requirements.
We prepare a techno-economic study for BWTS mak-
ing the initial selection easier for the ship Owner being
able to compare all the pros and cons of the pertinent
systems. Various parameters are considered including
CAPEX & OPEX.

Challenges of feasibility:• Selection of the most suitable location.
• Footprint & availability of maintenance space.
• Clash-free movement of large components
• Pressure drop and ballast pump capacity
• Securing of vessel’s normal operation.
• Minimization of the necessary modifications on the
existing piping systems and structural members.
Our experienced engineers carry out surveys on board and witha3D-La-
ser Scanner perform a full scan of the vessel’s preselected areas
which will be fully illustrated into a 3D point cloud. With 3D-Laser Scan-
ning you avoid the risks associated with manual measurement
and fabrication on board as you have a comprehensive view of all the
scanned areas.
