One day Rikke went to DieselHouse, an engine museum in Copenhagen. You don’t have to look at the Gear Candle Holder for long to see that the visit sparked some ideas in Rikke’s mind. The design has a very industrial, almost machinelike look, an ode to the analogue mechanics of the machine and candlelight. The Candle Holder consists of two pieces, that can stand alone or together.

People often have a tendency to underestimate the importance of framing. That’s a shame because all artwork needs great framing. A Frame is a fl exible series of frames in various materials that fi ts all artwork within the measures. The framing plate works as a passe-partout, emphasizing the artwork, no matter the size. It’s up to you to decide whether you want a big or small passe-partout. It works either way.

The idea behind the Material Pendant lamp was to create a simple iconic silhouette, as adaptable as a chameleon. The lamp can easily be applied to almost every environment and style, just by getting the material right. From oak to marble, from cork to terracotta, from concrete to kryptonite. The possibilities are endless.

The styles and ideas are based on Malene’s devotion to raw, intuitive and contrasted graphic artworks which adds a dynamic and abstract expression to the products.
