Camp Easterseals recognizes the gifts and potential of our campers. We create an environment that emphasizes the campers’ abilities and independence, as well as the development of their social skills and appreciation of the outdoors.
Participants make friends, learn about and explore nature, sing songs around the camp fire,
gain confidence, and create memories that linger long after the camp fires have died down.
Camp Easterseals offers two five-day and four-night sessions in July at Upward Bound Camp near Lyons, Oregon, located 30 miles east of Salem.
Affiliation and AccreditationUpward Bound Camp is fully accredited by the American Camping Association and is tailored for children and adults with special needs.

In 2016 46 campers attended Camp Easterseals.
$32,400 was raised through Easterseals Oregon’s Send a Kid to Camp Golf Tournament.
100% of the funds raised at the tournament allowed Easterseals Oregon to keep camper fees low and award scholarships to campers with a financial need. Funds from the tournament help each and every camper to attend and recognize
their gift and potential through camp activities.

Originally designed by Chandler Egan, it was updated in the early 1990s by Fought/Cupp, adding many modern touches.
