PENTECOST SUNDAY
THE BIRTHDAY OF THE CHURCH ACTS 2:1-11 JOHN 20:19-23
PENTECOST SUNDAY-THE LIFE OF THE PARISH A few months ago, I placed into the bulletin our Financial Report to give us an insight to see how we are doing financially. Today, I share with you our Spiritual Report that every parish sends to the Diocese on a yearly basis. (Please see Spiritual Report on the following page) This report covers the Sacramental Life, Religious Formation and the Ministries of our Parish. You will see the years 2017 and 2016 here at St Ignatius Loyola. Please take time to review and reflect. One item to notice is that we have a decrease in certain areas of our parish. This I believe is from a combination of factors, and aging population, unaffordable housing, movement away from Hicksville and non-Christians moving into Hicksville.
This can be a challenge but it can also be an opportunity of you to share the message of Jesus Christ. As we celebrate Pentecost Sunday, the question for you and me is how can I invite more to share in our parish experience and develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ? Do I know my neighbors? Speak to them about your Catholic experience. Ask the Holy Spirit, God’s inspiration to help and guide you. You may be surprised. CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR CONFIRMED Blessings and congratulations to all our parishioners who are being confirmed today! Pentecost Sunday is one day where the Bishop gives the priest the authority to confirm in his name. May God bless each of you and may his Spirit guide you and inspire you to deepen your love for Jesus and his Church. (Please see a list of the Catechumens below) JOIN US FOR FR. EMMANUEL’S FAREWELL MASS & CELEBRATION Please join us for a farewell Mass and celebration for Fr. Emmanuel next Sunday, May 27th at 12:30pm. Even if you are unable to make that particular Mass, stop by Msgr. Tarrant Hall to wish your farewell and good wishes. May God bless you and Mary keep you and your families always! May we remember to always do things for the greater glory of God. St. Ignatius Loyola, pray for us!

highly decorated colonel after he declined to sign a
"certificate of spouse appreciation" for a retiring mas-

Spiritual Adoption Program
Month Eight – Developing Baby
“I like to listen to my Mommy’s voice!”
In the last two months, the baby continues to gain
weight. She is developing a layer of fat that will
keep her warm after she is born. In the 9th month
she will shift to a head-down position, preparing
for birth. Her lungs are now fully developed and
capable of making the transition to breathing air.
After birth she will continue the human growth
process for many years to come.
Each day for nine months, say this prayer for
your Spiritually adopted baby:
Lord Jesus, today I lift up in prayer
the life of my spiritually adopted
pre-born child.
I ask that you protect and shield this
child from all harm.
Mary and Joseph, I ask your
intercession for the parents of this
child, that God would shower His
love and mercy upon them, and
guide them that at this difficult time.
May He send His Spirit to empower
them to choose to continue the
child’s life.
AMEN

to continuaré mi proceso de crecimiento humano

corazones?
¡No descuidemos nuestra oración diaria y perseverante!
