One of the best features about a local WebWizards center is its fleet of support vehicles (much like "Geek Squad" except for Internet related items only). These mobile know-it-alls service individuals and businesses with items such as setting up email, connectivity issues, online and mobile application assistance, web presence needs, private instruction, online input and anything else that's Internet related.

But, we aren’t just offering this support from our local centers. We’re building a national network of Ground Support Pros deployed through an online portal (and geo-targeted mobile applications). We recruit the most hip, talented and capable nerds to become certified support pros (on a freelance basis) who use their Internet knowledge to help others while earning money and taking advantage of flexible work schedules.

Why we’re important to the industry.According to American Express, 78% of customers have bailed on a transaction or not made an intended online purchase because of a poor service experience. A typical business only hears from 4% of its dissatisfied customers, and 91% never come back.

It takes 12 positive experiences to make up for one unresolved negative experience. News of a bad customer service now reaches twice as many ears and eyes as does praise for a good customer experience.

Respondents who suffered a bad interaction were 50% more likely to share it on social media than those who had good experiences (45% vs. 30%) and 52% more likely to share it on an online review site (35% vs. 23%).

That’s particularly problematic for companies getting bad reviews: separate results from the survey indicate that 86% of respondents who have read negative reviews claimed that the information impacted their buying decision.

And, it is 6 to 7 times more expensive to acquire a new customer than to keep a current one.
