Vein ablation is a trusted, minimally invasive procedure that can relieve symptoms, significantly raising your quality of life. The Procedure Vein ablation uses radio frequency to completely remove varicose and spider veins. A catheter enters the vein thru a tiny cut in the skin and is pushed in to the end of the vein. As the catheter is pulled back out, a radio frequency is activated. This frequency causes the vein to collapse and eventually to be absorbed by the body. Vein ablation takes about an hour to complete and causes no scarring and little or no pain. Some patients experience an immediate relief of their symptoms. Why Should I Get Treatment? Damage or disease in leg vein valves can lead to a variety of problems, like varicose veins. Varicose veins can be painful, and may indicate a more serious condition: venous reflux disease, also known as chronic venous insufficiency (CVI). The chief characteristic of this condition is that the valves in the legs become damaged or diseased. At Abella Heart we focus on health promotion and disease prevention. 30 MILLIONPEOPLE HAVE SYMPTOMATIC VARICOSE VEIN

DISEASE

Vein AblationA reliable treatment for varicose veins

About 30 million Americans have symptoms from varicose veins, but very few get treatment. Vein ablation is a trusted, minimally invasive procedure that can relieve symptoms, significantly raising your quality of life.

The ProcedureVein ablation uses radio frequency to completely remove varicose and spider veins.

Why Should I Get Treatment?Damage or disease in leg vein valves can lead to a variety of problems, like varicose veins. Varicose veins can be painful, and may indicate a more serious condition: venous reflux disease, also known as chronic venous insufficiency (CVI). The chief characteristic of this condition is that the valves in the legs become damaged or diseased.

Find Your Beauty

Wrinkles & Frown LinesAging doesn’t have to take such a toll on your appearance.

Dr. Abella offers cosmetic injections and fillers that can diminish signs of aging and restore a natural, youthful look.

DysportDysport reduces frown lines by reducing specific muscle activity between the eyebrows. This injection is among the most preferred cosmetic options, with 97 percent of people saying they’d do it again, according to one poll.

Most people see improvements within 2-3 days of treatment. Improvements can last up to four months.

RestylaneRestylane is a cosmetic injection that increases the fullness in different parts of the face and lips, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and lines. This injection can treat lines from the nose to the corners of the mouth, the area just below the nose, the corners of the mouth, lips and more.

Improvements from a Restylane procedure can last more than a year. This product is great for restoring volume lost through aging.

VenaSeal

A Revolutionary New Procedure For Varicose Veins

Varicose veins affect millions of people, causing leg pain, swelling, fatigue, sores and more. A variety of treatment options are available, some less invasive than others. At our clinic, Dr. Abella in Miami recently began offering a new kind of treatment that may prove better than all the rest: VenaSeal.

Traditionally, varicose vein treatment involves heat to seal veins, or surgical stripping of the damaged vein. VenaSeal uses an advanced medical adhesive to close diseased vein segments. It is the first and only treatment approved for use in the US that uses an adhesive of this nature.

The ProcedureDuring a VenaSeal procedure, Dr. Abella guides a catheter through a small access point using ultrasound guidance. By closing the diseased vein with adhesive, the blood is rerouted to healthy veins, and the symptoms of varicose veins resolve immediately. The VenaSeal system is also more comfortable than other options, because of the lack of heat. There is little to no pain involved and little or no bruising, and patients can return to normal activities immediately.

Success RatesClinical studies of VenaSeal are very positive, with closure rates above 92 percent.

Act NowIt is essential to diagnose and treat problems with leg blood valves quickly, as valves that stop working cannot be repaired.

When venous reflux disease is left untreated, vein valves eventually do not close properly. This is what can cause varicose veins, and a number of other problems:

• Leg pain, cramping

• Leg or ankle swelling

• Leg heaviness or fatigue

• Skin changes

• Ulcers, sores, open wounds

SclerotherapyIn this procedure, a solution is injected directly into the vein, which causes the vein to scar, forcing blood to reroute to healthier veins. The scarred vein eventually collapses and is reabsorbed into local tissue. Sclerotherapy is considered by many to be the treatment of choice for varicose veins.

After treatment, unsightly veins generally begin to fade within a few weeks. It is a very effective treatment for getting rid of symptoms like aching, swelling and burning in the legs, due to damaged veins.

Sclerotherapy is minimally invasive, and patients can expect to return to normal activities the same day.
