This position is to lead and grow the wholesale sales depar tment of Faire Collection, as well as manage and grow the annual holiday pop up shop business. This Director will manage Faire’s current wholesale team consisting of 1 inside sales account manager and 4 outside sales reps.

This position includes a large design and production component to lead private label design development and production for client labels, requiring direct work with our ar tisan par tners. There will also be significant involvement in curating Faire’s own label based on current sales trends.

Growth trajectory will include eventually leading the international expansion of Faire Collection (1-2 years out) and other physical retail locations opportunities (such as kiosks or international pop up shops).

Primary Duties:

Manage select high volume boutique accountsAttend NYC based trade showsCreate and implement strategy for maintaining and growing current wholesale accounts

In store trunk showsIn store displaysPromotional SalesCustomer RelationshipsTraining ProgramsEtc

Manage in house and showroom wholesale sales staff to encourage them to reach and surpass their sales goalsAttend trade showsManage all current and new showroom relationships

Motivate wholesale showrooms to maximize the sales potential of our line at trade shows and in their showroom.Keep showrooms up to date with all new products, special offers ,and integrate them into our marketing campaigns

Boutique Wholesale Sales

New Business Development – identify prospects, write proposals, request meetings and get new clientsForm and manage long-term relationships so that they commit to our line each season

Departments & Specialty Retail Chain Sales

Work on private label design for new accountsDesign and Coordinate the production of designs for private label clients

Private Label Design

Work with Creative Director and Director of Marketing to curate the product offerings based on current sales and trendsPrepare a monthly/quarterly sales analysis Carry out various analyses on an as needed basis. Could be related to sales, production capacity, artisan well being, etc

Analysis

Requirements:7+ years of experience in the wholesale fashion industry5+ years of management experience – excellent references from team members3+ years experience working with retail majors and knowledge of account management at this level is crucialExperience in jewelry/accessory designExperience running retail shops a plusFluent in Spanish a plusMBA a plus

storesDeep quantitative skills – ability to analyze and project data Excel expertNatural sales ability with good energy
