Christ the King Memorial Fund
A Memorial Fund has been established at Christ the King for some time. This fund is used to purchase liturgical items for the Sanctuary.
You are invited to make contributions to this fund in memory of a deceased family member or friend at the time of their funeral, or at any time. Cards are available in the entrances of the church as well as from the Parish Office.
All contributions are tax deductible and a receipt will be issued to the contributor. The name of the deceased is inscribed in the “Memorial Book” which resides at the front of the church on the left hand side of the Sanctuary.

Thanks to all of those who donated treats for the Halloween party on October 31st at Christ the King Parish hall. Also, a thank you to all the volunteers who came out to assist with the festivities. It was great fun for all! We gave away 250 treat bags to the trick and treaters who came by.

Today marks the 3rd annual World Day of the Poor. The Psalmist,
for today is writing in a time an economic disparity, much like
our own time. We are called to look to the Cross to look to
Jesus, and to respond out of love for our neighbor, our sisters
and brothers in Christ are suffering, they are the poor. How will
you respond to those in most need?

The Archbishop’s Appeal
What does it mean to hope in the Lord? The seven brothers and their mother who are featured in the first reading from 2 Maccabees both know and understand what it means. One of the brothers declares that everything he has received came from God, and he hopes to get them back again. Another brother speaks of the “hope God, the King of the Universe, will raise us up to an everlasting renewal of life”.
Living as stewards of God is living lives of hope. In his letter to the Thessalonians, Paul speaks of the “good hope” we have of God’s grace. Paul reminds us that the Lord “will strengthen and guard you”. The hope we have in the Lord is what gives us the total trust in Him which allows us to live lives of stewardship.
Jesus encourages us to have hope in the living God in today’s Gospel. In our approach to life, that everything we have and are comes from God, exemplifies our confidence in His goodness and love. We are to take God’s love and spread it among those around us through sharing and service. One of the ways to fulfill this is by participating in the pastoral programs of the Archdiocese by donating to the Annual Appeal. Through the Annual Appeal we reach out to others in an anonymous way that only God can see. It’s one of the ways we multiply our hands to reach out to others in response to God’s grace in us, a natural and fulfilling way to live. As followers of Christ we are optimistic. Sacred Heart Community School Santa Store Needs - Sacred Heart Community School is once again hosting their annual “Santa Store” for our students. The Santa Store allows our children to shop for Christmas gifts to give to their family members. These gifts are new or gently used items that can be re-gifted to family members (no clothing, nothing broken or dirty, and no books please). We rely on the generosity of our faith community to make this Christmas shopping possible for our students. Items that we need: dad type gifts, art, jewelry, make-up (new/unused), bath/spa-type items and preloved toys but no stuffed animals for hygienic reasons. If you have any items that you would like to donate to Sacred Heart’s Santa Store, they can be dropped off at the school up until Friday, November 29th. Part Time Buildings & Grounds Manager- Holy Family Parish, Regina - This is a part-time position, approximately 20 hours a month. The individual oversees the maintenance and repair of parish buildings and grounds ensuring they remain in good repair and are a safe environment for parish staff, parishioners and those who visit the parish.
