Message from Our CEOPeople choose to bank with St . Mary’s Credit Union because we provide them value, integrity, and the convenience of banking whenever, wherever and however they choose . In October, we are upgrading and enhancing our technology to make the St . Mary’s Credit Union banking experience better than ever . You will experience easier, faster, and more convenient services with added security features to protect you and your valuable assets .

Convenience is a necessary prerequisite for financial services shoppers. Through this upgrade we are enhancing some existing conveniences that our members already enjoy – plus adding a few new ones!

The upgrade will take place over the Columbus Day holiday weekend beginning at the close of business on Friday, October 6th . Our branches will be closed on Saturday, October 7th as our staff does final testing and preparation to go live with our new technology when we reopen for business on Tuesday, October 10th .

Preparations for this upgrade began more than one year ago to assure a smooth and seamless transition . We will have additional resources in our branches and Member Service Center in the days following this upgrade to handle any questions members may have and to provide additional technical support to our staff.

Please check our website (bankatsmcu .com) for updates and important information . Our Member Service Center is also available to answer questions and assist members (866-585-7628 or 508-229-3850). Our professional branch staff is also available to answer any questions that you may have .

A Better Online Banking Experience

WHAT’S AHEAD…

When you log in to Online Banking after the system enhancement, you’ll notice a fresh look and feel . Featured below are some of the new and enhanced features you’ll enjoy, as well as some important information for all Online Banking users .

New/Enhanced Features…• Bank to Bank Transfer enables you to transfer

funds to or from your accounts at another financial institution .

• Submit an address change, update your phone number and email address online .

• Deactivate/Activate your MasterCard® Debit & ATM cards online in case they are lost or stolen .

• Member to Member Transfer allows you to transfer funds from your account to an account belonging to another St . Mary’s Credit Union member .

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ONLINE BANKING USERS

You will be required to reset your password when you first sign into our new Online Banking system. Your temporary password will be your year of birth and the last four digits of your Social Security number. For business members, your new temporary password will be the last four digits of the business’s EIN number and the business’s zip code.

Special characters are no longer permitted in your Online Banking User ID (i.e. !#@). If your current username includes special characters, the special characters will be removed. All other Online Banking User IDs will remain the same.

You will need to reestablish your Account alerts after the system enhancement.

If you currently have our Online Banking site bookmarked, remember to update your bookmark after the system upgrade.

A Better Mobile Banking Experience

Banking on the go just got better! Mobile Banking allows you to check your balances, make bill payments, transfer money and find your nearest ATM and branch locations. With this system enhancement we’ve added a number of new features .

New/Enhanced Features…• Bank to Bank Transfer enables you to transfer funds to or

from your accounts at another financial institution.

• Fast Balances gives you a snapshot of your current account balances without entering your User ID or password .

• Deactivate/Activate your MasterCard® Debit & ATM cards online in case they are lost or stolen .

• When enabled on your mobile device, Fingerprint Authentication allows you to sign into Mobile Banking on your compatible iOS and Android devices using your fingerprint.

What You Need to Know…• To take advantage of these new features you will need to download our new app .

(Remember to delete the old app from your device) .

• The St . Mary’s Credit Union Mobile Banking App is available for your iPhone®, or Android™ device . To download, visit the Apple App Store™ or Google® Play and search for “St . Mary’s Credit Union Mobile .”

Telephone Banking

Telephone Banking allows you to access your account information 24/7 using a touch tone phone — check balances, monitor deposits and withdrawals, transfer funds between linked accounts and more . When you call our Telephone Banking system for the first time after the system upgrade, please listen carefully to the menu as some selections will change .

New/Enhanced Features:• You will now be able to hear your recent ATM

and debit card transactions within the telephone banking system .

• Request a withdrawal by check – the following business day, a check will be mailed to your primary address on file.

• After the system upgrade, you will be able to hear 6 months of deposit history and 12 months of loan history within the telephone banking system .

What You Need to Know• Your PIN will be reset to the last four digits of your social security number, which you

will use the first time you call after October 9th. For Businesses, your initial PIN code will be the last five digits of the social security number of the signer on the account. You will then be prompted to select a new PIN .

New Look Statements

Your statement will have a slightly different look and feel, but your account information will remain the same .

What You Need to Know…• You will receive an

abbreviated statement including activity through October 6, 2017 and your first new statement will show activity starting October 7, 2017 through October 31, 2017 . Going forward, your statement cycle will be month-end .

• If you are already signed up for eStatements, you will continue to receive them after the system enhancement . You do not need to sign up again .

• After the technology upgrade, you will initially have access to the past 13 months of eStatements within Online Banking . This will build to 24 months of eStatements over the course of the 11 months following the technology upgrade .

• Savings account statements will now be issued quarterly . However, you will receive a statement if any electronic transactions (i .e . transfers and bill payments) were processed from or to your savings account during a monthly cycle .

New Look Transactions

When you check your balance at the branch, online, by phone or at an ATM, you will have the balance at that time with the exception of any checks outstanding .

New/Enhanced Features…• After the system upgrade, your transactions will occur

in real-time in keeping with banking best practices . This means that items will be debited from or credited to your account immediately .

• Signature pads will now be utilized in our branches . A paperless process reduces paper and saves time so our staff can dedicate more time to serving you. It’s good for the environment and creates easy retrieval of receipts in our system .

What You Need to Know…• For your added protection, we may scan your

license or other identification the next time you visit a branch office. Then, each time you conduct a transaction at a branch office, we’ll be able to identify you more quickly and be able to further protect you against unauthorized activity .

• Your transaction receipt will have a different look (see example images) and withdrawal receipts will include your signature

You will be required to reset your password the first time you log in to Online Banking . Your User ID will not change, unless it currently contains a special character (See page 2 for more information) .

You will need to download our new Mobile Banking app (See page 3) .

You will receive an abbreviated statement including activity through October 6th and your first new statement will show activity starting October 7th . Going forward, your statement cycle will be month-end .

Your PIN will be reset and you will be prompted to select a new PIN (See page 4) .

Q Why is the Credit Union upgrading it’s system?A The upgrade will enable us to serve you better. Some of the things that you’ll find

better are:• Faster transaction processing• Online and Mobile Banking features with simplified navigation and more robust

capabilities .

Q Where can I learn more?A Additional information is available at www .bankatsmcu .com . You may also receive

information in your account statements, email, social media and post office mail. If you need assistance, visit one of our branch offices or contact our Member Service Center at 866-585-7628 or 508-229-3850 .

Q What are the Credit Union hours during the system enhancement?A Branch offices are closed Columbus Day Weekend: Saturday, October 7th, Sunday,

October 8th, and Monday, October 9th (Columbus Day) . Our Member Service Center will be open with limited services on Saturday, October 7 from 8AM to 1PM .

Q How can I access my account funds during the system enhancement?A Use your debit card to make purchases wherever Mastercard® is accepted . St . Mary’s

Credit Union ATMs will be out of service during the system upgrade, but you can make surcharge free withdrawals at any SUM or CO-OP ATM .

Q Will my account number(s) change?A No, your account number(s) will not change .

Q Is my Online Banking User ID changing?A Only if your current User ID contains special characters (i .e . !#@) . These characters

will be removed from your User ID .

Q Is my Online Banking Password changing?A For your security, the first time you log in to Online Banking after the system enhancement,

you will be required to reset your Password, accept the Online Banking Terms and Conditions, and update your contact information . Your new temporary password will be your year of birth and the last four digits of your Social Security number . For business members, your new temporary password will be the last four digits of the business’s EIN number and the business’s zip code . If you preregistered for the new online banking system, please login using the password you selected during preregistration .

Q Will I need to re-enter my Bill Pay payees and scheduled payments?A No, your Bill Pay payees and scheduled payments will not need to be re-entered after

the system upgrade .
