Support for Windows or UNIX (Solaris).

Based on standard SNMP (Manager/Agent) model. Optional

Northbound SNMP interface is also available for integration to

Remote Access

Anytime-Anywhere Configuration, Control and Monitor of NEs

over an IP network. NMS Clients can monitor and control NEs

using a Standard Web Browser (IE) or Java WebStart.

A client machine can log in with server mode and use full PNMSj

functionality.

Auto Discovery*1

The Auto Discovery function is supported for simplified network

setup. This reduces the workload when adding new NEs and

modifying the existing radio network.

There is no longer a need to download new configuration files and

import DAT/NCT file in the PNMSj for changes in topology.

Enhanced Performance Data Management conforms to ITU-T

G.826 and G.828 (NEO, 5000S and iPASOLINK ).

The performance data is automatically saved into the HDD at a

scheduled time or can be uploaded on demand.

Thresholds can be set to give all the necessary alerts in addition

to creating reports and charts.

MIB Loading

The PNMSj allows the management of other SNMP-based

equipment from the southbound interface through the use of the

MIB (Management Information Base) files.

Summary

NECs PASOLINK Network Management Terminal (PNMTj) feature allows the use of a mobile terminal such as a laptop PC to access local/ remote equipment for maintenance.The PNMTj can be connected to any PASOLINK family NE from any location in the network. The selected NE is then monitored and controlled together with its opposite NE in the link in essentially the same manner as the PNMSj Link Summary window is used.The web based LCT is available for iPASOLINK.

NetConfigToolj (Java) is used for creation and easy modification of the network management topology and configuration.*

*NetCfgToolj is not required when Auto Discovery function is used.
