Ensemble from Principal’s Desk This Enchanted Garden reopened on Monday, the 22nd of May 2017 after the Summer
vacations, with the reverberating sounds of chirping and chattering of the children, a
phenomena that‘s important in building healthy relation with the peer group and the
teachers. The teachers were all set to receive their new batch of children with warm Fun
Filled activities.
The activities of the year are designed to have a strong focus on literacy, numeracy,
building relationships and physical development. The little children visit the library, listen
and respond to stories, while the seniors see themselves as ―readers‖ and love to choose
books themselves. They also learn to paint, sing, draw, dress up and dance.
We at the Pre primary strongly believe, that Parental interaction with the child‘s learning
process goes a long way in their all round development. Hence activities are devised to aid
in this development.
Our faith lies in the belief that, ours is the most important job, that we are the ‗Keepers
of Tomorrow‘, as we hold and lead the smallest hand.

Holidays are those special days that
every individual looks forward to,
very eagerly. Long weekends are bliss
in disguise. Our eyes widened up
looking at the extended weekend in
the month of August, last minute
packing set our focus to Shimoga.
This choice of ours to pack our
camping bags was seconded by a
thought of the recent learning's that
Shreekar had in the school –
Herbivores, Carnivores, Omnivores
animals; Animals and their homes.
5 hours of drive from Bangalore. Get,
Set, Zoom towards Sakrebyle Jungle
resort, 15 kms from Shimoga.
The resort is gracefully located
amidst dense forest. We had a guided
Nature walk tour, watching and
observing carefully to the various
trees, herbs and shrubs around us.
Our focus was diverted towards
something that caught our attention –
Shreekar.
He was extremely delighted to see
the plants and started telling how his
ma‘am in school was teaching about
plants, their importance and how they
grow.
The feast to eyes continued further.
The Ant hill. He watched really Big
Black ants parading towards a tiny
hole and started imagining how they
dwell there, and how snakes sneak in
and occupy them. He could also see
places were Rabbits gather together
on a small rock to drink water. Fire
fly was a treat to his eyes, could not
believe in what he was seeing!
As the night fell, chirping sounds of
cricket was something that made him
to slip into the bed quite soon,
followed by thoughts of Tigers and
The Lions. Animals and their homes
was lingering in his thoughts.
The dawn was much more promising
than the previous day. The Jungle
lodge stay included elephant bathing!
On the banks of river Tunga, just a
few meters from our cottage,
Shreekar was greeted by the
majesty, the pride walks of the
elephants, making their way to the
river, one after the other. Big ones to
the toddlers, Shreekar could not
believe the fact that a baby elephant,
taller and much stronger to him, was
just 10 months old.
The best treat came in when, we all
plunged into the water with a brush in
the hand, all set to bathe the biggest
animal ever seen, right in front of us.
As they lie flat in the water,
Shreekar took courage to touch the
elephants, bathe them and see at a
very close proximity, its huge ears,
gigantic body, and needle like hairs,
long tusks and big trunk. He was
fascinated to see the big and baby
elephants run, spraying water through
their trunks and hearing to their
trumpet. This is one of the best
moments we have ever had in the laps
of Mother Nature.
At the end, it was indeed a great
holiday and an educational trip where
Shreekar was able to connect every
teachings from his school to the life
outside.

Fire truck, Fire truck,
I wish I could ride a fire truck, I wish I could wake up in the fire station, to the sound of the
fire bell.
I would slide down the fire pole and go Wheeee...., all the way down and hop onto the fire
truck,
When people see the truck come in,
they put their hands over their ears,
the siren is so loud.
I wish I could hook the hose up and shoot water out of the hose at the fire,
I wish I could climb the giant ladder, way up high and say "I am here to save the day"
When the fire is all out, everyone will scream and shout, "Oh what a great job Mr Fire man..!!
You‘ve helped put out the fire again",
and I'll say, "you are very welcome, I'm just doing my job"

Uniforms To School! Parent of Abhinav Jois Prep II C
Fascination For Fire Trucks Vishnu S Prep II A

One day while ironing
the school uniform
shirt, Abhinav asked
me a question – why
do we have to wear
uniform to school? I instantly
remarked ―so that everyone knows
which school you study in‖. After a
while I continued to ponder on the
need for uniforms in school and slowly
started to realize that uniform means
unchanging in form or character.
While it is a distinctive set of
clothing intended to identify the
members of a specific group/
organization/school, it also serves as
a unifying factor and conveys that every
student is treated the same in the
school irrespective of their caste,
creed or social status. Uniform means
students don't have to worry about
peer pressure when it comes to their
clothes.
When everyone is dressed the same,
worrying about what you look like is
not important. It is easy to decide on
what to wear to school each morning
without making any choice. School
uniform brings unity in diversity and
helps inculcate discipline in children.
The origin of Uniform was in the 16th
century in Latin. Some of the others
who wear a uniform are military
soldiers, professionals like doctors,
lawyers, police
etc.

beyond the

Eeshan is a shy, sensitive and bubbly
kid who loves to talk, talk and talk
forever………..
Taking a few steps back, during his
interview for school admission, his
attention was more on the chocolates
his Principal offered (in anticipation
of an answer) rather than identifying
the pictures of animals and fruits she
showed. As parents, we were worried
and had lost hope that he could make
it to Poornapragna. But, he was lucky!!!
Day 1 of his entry to PPEC…..We could
see lot of excitement in him and could
hear Eeshan shouting that he is going
to school to everyone at home and
neighbors as well... He was so
attracted to see so many kids at one
place during his initial visit that he
must have thought that going to
school is only for FUN. But, we were
not sure how would he co-operate
with teachers and get adjusted to
other kids.
We still remember those days when I
used to send him to a play home. His
cry used to peak out and could be
heard miles away….and that made me
worry. How will he adjust to the new
school PPEC (due to start in a month‘s
time)!? Everyone and everything would
be new to him and that thought would
scare us, as parents...
Post joining PPEC, days passed with
occasional ―cry‖, but unlike other kids
who don‘t want to go to school,
Eeshan‘s cry was more of a demand
that he wanted his mom to come along
with him to his class J J (Well, this
desire is still there in him even as of
this date….and we are curious to know
when that would get fulfilled J J).
Gone are those ―play home‖ days when
he used to cry, we could now see
Eeshan waking up on a Saturday/
Sunday morning and still say he wants
to go to school..
During the Introductory Parents &
Teachers meeting, I remember the
Principal saying that very soon, you
can listen to your child chanting
Shlokas / Prayers etc., and to my
surprise, Eeshan does that almost
every day and we wonder how could
this happen so fast.
―Down at the station, early in the
morning‖ happens to be one of his
favourite rhyme and he keeps
humming it a hundred times in a
day… .a long w ith Shlokas of
―Gajananam Bhoota Ganadhi Sevitam‖
and ―Tvameva Mata Cha Pita
Tvameva‖. Ask him who taught you
t h i s , c o m e s a r a p i d
response - ―Pushpa Ma‘am and
Nagashree Ma‘am. We always wonder
how could he be
taught so many
things in such a
short time????
We can see him
change so fast,
that as parents,
we are struggling
to make time out
f r o m o u r
day - to- day schedule to enjoy with
him, before he grows old enough to
and run out and play with his friends.
It‘s been more than 3 months now and
not even a single day have we heard
Eeshan saying that he doesn‘t want to
go to school. Even though he doesn‘t
utter a single word on what happened
in school, there is something that
attracts him and motivates him to go
there. He feels so proud to point a
finger at the school building and say
―Appa, this is my school‖.
From a kid who got a feedback in
3rd/4th week of his schooling saying
that he doesn‘t talk much, to getting
another feedback that he has become
talkative and naughty by the day,
Eeshan has been, least to say,
enjoying every minute of his stay in
Poornaprajna.
We are proud to be associated with
Poornaprajna.

important point considered by our

thing as it influences kid‘s psychology
in developing interests and priorities.
It has been 4 months that our child

playing, and skilling the young minds.
Like all the ―first time parents‖, we
were all curious and scouting for a
place where the all round development
of the kid is the focus and not only
Academia. ―Poornapranjna‖ was our
first choice as, our circle of
references had reiterated the fact
that the school helps kids develop as
a smart, multi-dimensional, confident,
good conscious character. Another

When we enter the School a very
meaningful message is conveyed to
the Parents of the PPEC, Children and
Students, ―Whatever You are In Life You Are only A Parent Here‖ , which
is as clear as a crystal about the
ideals inculcated and followed here
guided by His Holiness Sri Swamiji.
With the experience and interaction
we have had with the school Principal,
Staff, Teachers etc, we have
observed several noteworthy and
inspirational methods adopted by the
School in imparting education to the
children. We convey our sincere
thanks to the Management and Poojya
Swamiji in this regard.
The school follows a comprehensive
method in educating the children
which is very creative and meaningful
which helps every child to grow,
develop in all aspects and help them
to have a very bright future.
Apart from formal education, today's
society is in need of human beings
who have moral values, respect
towards our ancient culture,
tradition, and ethics. The school has
been rendering exceptional service in
this regard.
Apart from providing formal
education, the school is imparting
cultural, traditional and ethical
education to the children and also is
concentrating on overall development
of the children. In this regard the
school has formulated systematic
programs which are very simple and
understandable to the Children and
Parents.
The Principal, teachers, staff
(including sub staff) are all very
cooperative and helpful, they interact
with the Children and Parents in a
very cordial and polite manner, which
is very helpful for the children to
develop self confidence.
We are very proud and happy that we
have got our child admitted to a
school like Poornaprajna, which
provides much needed full-fledged
education. We are sure that, by
studying in Poornaprajna, she will

it was noon. As we entered the
Lalbhag we could see beautiful
flowers decorated in various forms. I
remember the flower show arranged
in our school.
Our National bird Peacock was
decorated with red roses and many
more. As we entered the glass house
we could see our Rashtrakavi

white roses with the statue placed in
front of the house. We even went to

we shout the names of our friends -
Rambo! Blacky!!. All of a sudden you
see some strange noises from inside
the house and tapping of the window
doors. That's Rambo and Blacky's way
of asking their mistress, Byamma
Aunty, to open the window! Aunty will
then open the window and we feed
them biscuits. They eat them with
great joy. Even we feel very happy.
Now do you understand why the
'Byamma Park' is so special to us?
Yes, we love those dogs very much.
And there's an interesting story to
describe their intelligence and love.
When, my brother was a very small
kid, my mother used to occasionally
take him to Byamma's house, for a
change. During those times my
brother used to pull the tails of
Rambo and Blacky and push them
around. For some reason, they did not
harm my brother but instead
patiently bore his pranks. They never
forgot my brother even when my
parents changed their house and not
visit them for many years. When I
Me and my brother go to a particular
park almost every alternate day. We
like to visit that park for reasons
more than just playing. For everyone
else the park is named the "Gayatri
Devi Park", but for us it is the
"Byamma" park! As one of our
previous neighbor and a caring lady,
Mrs. Byamma, stays in the
government quarters that's inside the
park. Like other parks this park too
has swings, slides, spider-web, ducks
and so on. But there is one unique
thing in this park that we never find
in other parks. And that is our dear
Rambo and Blacky. Let me explain
that!
Usually around 4.30 PM we go to the
park. My mom doesn't forget to carry
a pack of biscuits, when we go, and
even if she forgets, my brother and I
remind her to take . When we reach
the park, we first rush to the play
area, holding each others' hands.
With a lot of excitement, we finish
our regular games. We keep our
favorite game, the curved slide, to
the very last. We climb the steps of
was just over an year old, my mom

brother was shouting and playing in
the park. Inside the house,
apparently, the dogs started pushing
Byamma Aunty and jumping on the
windows. Reluctantly, aunty opened
the door and was surprised to see us
in the park. Then she called my
mamma and narrated the entire
happenings. My mother was so happy
to see their innocent love and sharp
memory. From that day onward, we
have not gone to the park empty
handed. We take some eatables for
Rambo and Blacky. This is just a token
of our thankfulness for loving us. All
of us children can learn from these
how to love others selflessly and
sincerely.

Celebrations — Inculcating Tradition and Culture, 18th September 2017
When I was a small
girl, I was wondering
how the birds fly, and
would watch them for
hours till my mom said
―STOP‖! I wanted to fly like them too.
My next wonder was about man-made
b i r d , A e r o p l a n e . I w a s
surprised as to how such a big thing
was able to fly in the air. I wanted to
fly in an Aeroplane, but was afraid. I
used to question my grandfather
about aeroplanes very often. My
grandfather said that Aeroplanes are
like birds in shape; its wings are made
similar to how bird wings are and also
fold their legs while flying as the
birds do.
During my vacation, my
parents had planned to visit my
granny in New Delhi. I was very much
excited when I got to know that we
would be travelling by Air! Oh,
Bangalore Airport was so big and nice.
As we entered the Airport, we
checked in and our baggage went
through an x-ray machine. We were
asked to take with us only small bags.
Bigger and heavier baggage's were
taken by them to keep them in the
luggage compartment of the
Aeroplane. It was time now to board
our Aeroplane. Ah! In the Aeroplane,
seats were very good and colorful. We
were greeted by Four good looking
Air Hostess, who also smartly helped
all of us in getting to our seats. They
gave me chocolates, a small toy, food
and water too. Later, we were asked
to wear our seat belts when our
Aeroplane took off. Looking at them,
I also wanted to become an Air
Hostess when I grew up.
Our Aeroplane went very fast
on Runway and took off. As we went
up and up the ground and buildings
went down and down. Pilot who drives
the Aeroplane said on speaker that
we were flying at 37,000 feet above
the ground. It was amazing to see
clouds look like cotton spread across
everywhere below us. After 3 hours
of flying, pilot said that we had
almost reached Delhi. As were
reaching Delhi Airport, buildings and
ground slowly became bigger and
bigger. After touching the ground,
our aircraft took almost 1km to stop.
As we were getting down, I saw our
two Pilots and was very happy of their
nice Aeroplane flying skills. Now on
seeing them, I wanted to become a
Pilot when I grew up!
We had to wait some time to
collect our luggage. On a moving belt
lots of luggage's were coming. We
spotted and picked our two bags and
then left for my grandma‘s house
there. After spending some days
there, we returned to Bangalore again
by Aeroplane.

experience that I remember for some
time now. Eagerly waiting for next
opportunity to travel by a ―man made
