We have Moved to our NEW OFFICE!We are delighted to announce that we have now moved to our new office in Moonah at 24 Hopkins StreetWe are now sharing, what has been the St Therese’s Convent, with the Moonah Lutana Catholic Parish. We are excited to be exploring this shared mission with the Parish and are grateful for their generosity to us . Look out for our official Office opening celebration that will be held in December, after the car park has been upgraded.

Maybe the world will be transformed when we learn to have fun together. I don't mean to suggest that we don't talk about serious things. But maybe what our world needs more than anything is communities where we celebrate life together and become a sign of hope for our world. Maybe we need signs that it is possible to love each other.

We have moved to our new office! It is wonderful to be here sharing with the Catholic Parish of Moonah Lutana. We are so grateful to them by offering us this space and we are certainly feeling at home here. Pease feel free to come and visit us. Our address is 24 Hopkins Street (next door to St Therese’s School). Just follow the signs to the Emmanuel Centre/convent and ring the bell next to our L’Arche symbol. We will gladly welcome you in. If you are coming by car you can either park on Hopkins Street or in the spot next to the carport outside the building. Please do not park on the grass. We look forward to seeing you when you get the chance to visit.
It has also been a sad time in our Community especially for Katherine Black due to the death of her mother. We gathered as a Community to remember Katherine’s Mum. Katherine and her brother Arnold led us in a very touching memorial to their Mum. Katherine invited each of us to offer a flower in memory of her Mum and to talk about her. It was a gentle and truly sacred time together. Thank you to Katherine and Arnold for allowing us to be part of this special time.
This is such great news! They led us in song and we all shared in the celebration cake made by Leeanne Lincoln’s daughter Jacqui.
We also enjoyed a wonderful Spring Prayer Partners Day at the Friends Meeting House. Rennie led us in a reflection regarding embracing life and celebrating what it offers us and what makes us happy. The beautiful tree he had drawn was covered with our decorated flowers.
We are looking forward to welcoming two international visitors from L’Arche during October. Louis Pilote (International Communications) and Stephen Posner(National Leader of France) who will be in our Community from the 9th-13th of October. We are planning to gather in the Chapel at our office on Sunday 11 th from 2-4pm to welcome them, hear about the work they do and other communities in the world and have afternoon tea. It would be great if you could join us.
So there is lots of news to share. We will be trying to let you know about what has been happening in our Community every month. Please feel free to send us your news if you would like to include it in our newsletter. Take care and blessings to all, Cindy Treanor.
It was wonderful to gather together to celebrate our membership. Many of us brought food for our shared meal and then painted our wooden hand to put on our Membership Tree. Many thanks to David Briers for making the tree and to Adrian Dean and my dad for making all of the wooden hands. They look beautiful on the tree. If you haven't had the chance to join as a member, forms are still available at the office. On the night we also celebrated with Dave and Angie’s parents Nobby and Margo Clarke, - the news that Dave and Angie have been granted permanent residency in Australia.
