AWIPS2 Training/Workshop at RAMMB/CIRA: The first AWIPS2 National Centers Perspective (NCP) Satellite Ingest and Display workshop was held at RAMMB/CIRA on May 1-4, 2017. Participants included Michael Folmer (OPC, WPC Satellite Liaison), Monica Bozeman (NHC), Amanda Terborg (AWC), Michael Bowlan (SPC Satellite Liaison), Jorel Torres (JPSS Satellite Liaison), Andrea Schumacher (CIRA/NHC), Kevin McGrath (SPoRT) and Lee Byerle (TOWR-S). The group implemented NCP ingest and display of several experimental and operational satellite products to test functionality of NCP as an N-AWIPS replacement at the National Centers. Problems were documented for use by the NCP development team. 350 N-AWIPS products used at the National Centers products were identified for migration from N-AWIPS to NCP. National Centers Directors will be briefed on the workshop findings in late May. (D. Molenar, E/RA1, S. Longmore, A. Schumacher, J. SLIDER Presentation at CIRA Fellows Meeting: Kevin Micke presented RAMMB’s new real-time GOES-16 imagery website, SLIDER, on 9 May 2017 at the annual CIRA Council and Fellows meeting. Harry Cikanek, StAR Director, and Satya Kalluri, CoRP Division Chief, were in attendance, along with the CIRA Fellows, and a robust questions and answer session followed the presentation. The new website is named SLIDER, short for “Satellite Loop Interactive Data Explorer in Real-time,” and is capable of displaying all GOES-16 ABI bands at full resolution. Users of the site are able to zoom in on interesting features in the loops to see any part of the imagery at full resolution in an easy to use web interface. (K.
