Role of Technology
Common Core Standards
“Technology plays an important role in statistics and probability
by making it possible to generate plots, functional models, and
correlation coefficients, and to simulate many possible outcomes
in a short amount of time.” (The Common Core Standards
Initiated, 2010)
U.S. Department of Education’s position statement
“High-quality computer-assisted instruction (CAI) tutorials,
implemented with fidelity, be considered as a potentially useful tool in introducing and teaching specific subject-matter
content to specific populations.”
(US Department of Education)
