Miniature golf, fishing, climbing wall and the animal park were some of our activities.Beth Chato - joy of David joining Exchange. Joy of having grandson Paul here today. Joy of having Bill Froese to install new officers.

President of the Lincolnland District of Exchange Clubs, who inducted the new club officers. He is a member of the Gurnee, IL Exchange Club.

FYI - The Lincolnland District extends from Zion in the north to Bellville in the south, from Quincy in the west to Urbana in the east.

Bill and the Urbana Club officers inducted our newest member, Dave Chato (photo below). Dave recently retired from NASA-Cleveland and moved back to Urbana. His mother, Beth Chato, is the current club president and his father, John Chato (deceased) was a club member for many years.

In the photo below Beth Chato is receiving a beautiful plaque to recognize her outstanding service as President of the Urbana Exchange Club for 2016-2017.

To conclude the program Bill reviewed awards given by Exchange Clubs, from Exchangite of the Year to Youth of the Year. John Hummel and John Smith have been leaders in seeing that the Urbana Club does the paperwork to give awards.In the photo below are the club officers present at the meeting: l. to r., Beth Chato, Ron Wilcox (new Club President), Nancy Hesselman, Van Bowersox (Secretary), and Club Board members Fred Holhubner, Doug Bauling, and Ralph Langenheim.

More music: The members sang " Raise Our Hearts and Voices, I'm A Yankee Doodle Dandy, and America the Beautiful."Announcements- John Hummel reported that the Urbana and Champaign Exchange Clubs will once again be handing out USA flags to kids watching the July 4 parade. A collection can was passed to the club members and John also sends letters seeking contributions from local businesses. So far $375 has come in from businesses and $160 from the collection can. The cost of flags is split with the Champaign Ex. Club and our share for the recent flag purchase was $750. John also passed a signup sheet for those willing to walk the parade route to pass out the flags. JoAnn reported that she coordinated a Tolono group to hand out 400 flags at their recent parade.In the Pig -- $116.Program: Beth Chato introduced Bill Froese,
