Graduate programs for teachers of the blind and visually impaired
Graduate level – Masters (M. Ed in Education Psychology with a concentration in teaching learners who are blind or visually impaired. Also offering an M. Ed in Education Psychology with a concentration in teaching learners who are deaf or hard of hearing. Curriculum Studies: supporting learners with diverse needs and exceptionalities)
On-Site summer program with a distance learning program during the academic year and spring session using Moodle, Collaborate, and other distance delivery options
The Postgraduate Diploma in Specialist Teaching (Blind and Vision Impairment) is an endorsement which provides advanced theoretical and research-based study of specialist teaching relating to understanding of the development and learning needs of students who are blind or have a visual impairment.
This includes an examination of evidence-based practices for specialist teachers of learners who are blind or have a visual impairment and a supervised practicum.
