Faith Bradburn Keller, BFA Adult Community Enrichment (ACE), STC campus Acrylic Painting: Technique Building – not for the true beginner This class is structured for beginner and intermediate students who are interested in developing skills to further their painting abilities. Students will enjoy learning classic painting techniques that will build confidence and understanding. Emphasis will be given on color theory and color mixing, composition, materials, mediums, brush strokes, and more. Each class will include a demonstration and discussion, touch on art history styles, and individual instruction in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Student Supply List (recommended): 1) Paints – Liquitex or Golden brand acrylics. Do NOT buy Artist Loft brand, Hobby Lobby brand or craft paint. Acrylic Painting: Technique Building – not for the true beginner

This class is structured for beginner and intermediate students who are interested in developing skills to further their painting abilities. Students will enjoy learning classic painting techniques that will build confidence and understanding. Emphasis will be given on color theory and color mixing, composition, materials, mediums, brush strokes, and more. Each class will include a demonstration and discussion, touch on art history styles, and individual instruction in a fun, relaxed atmosphere.

Student Supply List (recommended):

1) Paints – Liquitex or Golden brand acrylics. 4) Palette – Recommended Masterson palette with sponge, lid and paper set. You may

also use a rectangle shaped Tupperware with a tight lid.

5) Brushes: Selection of Rounds, Filberts and Flats (will discuss). Do not buy craft

brushes.

6) Canvas – 1 Canvas pad (Artist's Loft® Necessities™ Canvas Pad 12x16 - Item # 10188592 $12.99 – 2 quantity – make sure its canvas and NOT canvas paper

7) Canvas – flat panels or stretched canvas, 16x20 or smaller, approximately 3-5 for duration of class. We will discuss this further at the first class.

8) Small spray bottle – fill with water

9) Water container

10) Notebook for handouts and note taking.

FAITH BRADBURN KELLER is an artist who enjoys painting from life and traveling, landscapes and wildlife, botanicals and is a graduate of the Ringling College of Art and Design. Faith's art reflects her interest in nature; it's textures, forms and unique lighting. She also worked for many years at Mote Marine Laboratory (designing Florida’s State license plate, “Protect Our Coral Reefs) and brings that background into the classroom. Most Recently, Faith spent over three years in Europe and the Mediterranean traveling, painting and teaching onboard the two newest state-of-the-
