This educational visit will support our study of different animals and their habitats around the world throughout our current ‘Dinosaurs’ enquiry. The children will have the opportunity to explore the park in small groups, as well as to handle a selection of small animals. We appreciate that this visit has been arranged at very short notice, however the trip will provide a valuable opportunity to enrich your child’s knowledge and understanding of this important area of scientific enquiry. We will be leaving school at 09:00 and returning from Kessingland at 15:00. We will be using Belle Coaches on this visit and a voluntary contribution of £12 per child is requested. The emergency contact number during the course of the day will be: 01502 562930. A voluntary contribution is required for this trip; this visit cannot proceed unless enough voluntary contributions are made. This will cover the hire of the coach, as well as all the activities and entry to the attraction. Your child is insured by Suffolk County Council. Any personal items that they bring will not be covered. There will be no refund of the whole or part of the payment unless at the discretion of the headteacher or school governors. If your child would like to participate in this visit, please complete the enclosed parental consent form (PC/07) and return to the school office with your voluntary contribution. Your child will not be able to go without this form being completed. Your child will need to wear school uniform and clothing suitable for the weather. It could be wet so please make sure that a waterproof coat is available for your child. Your child must bring a packed lunch and a drink. A screw top bottle is ideal for this. Cans and cartons are not suitable as they need to be consumed at once. A number of parent helpers will be needed for this trip. If you would like to help on this trip, please speak to the school office staff who will be able to check if you have a current CRB clearance.
