ANALYSING DATA USING NVIVO
1. First, I uploaded my reflective blogs from week 8 to week 11
2. Then I created two pre-determined themes i.e. Learning and Thinking
3. Under learning, I created three nodes, i.e. type of research method, data analysis and data
collection. Then, I started to read through my reflective blogs and categorised them based on
what I have learned.
4. Under thinking, I then created the node, information learned and presented with two sub nodes
i.e. Examples and Questions. Then, I started to read through my reflective blogs and categorised
them based on what I think about the information learned and presented. In the information
learned and presented section, I further categorised it into examples and questions.
5. To look for emerging themes, I used the word frequency.
6. From the word frequency, I choose 2 emerging themes, research and data.
Therefore, my report will be based on the two pre-determined themes and two emerging themes.
