Year 5 Autumn Term Curriculum Information for Parents Areas of Learning Autumn Term 2020 Continuous PSHE linked to our Values There is a weekly PSHE (Personal, Social, Health Economic Development) lesson. The sessions are designed to facilitate group and class discussions based on a weekly question linked to local, national and international news and our Jigsaw scheme of work. All children are encouraged to access Newsround, and to look at Junior Week newspaper. Welcome back: Recovery curriculum with a focus on Wellbeing, Reconnecting, Belonging, Being Active, Pupil Voice, Relationships Being Me in My World: Goal–setting, citizenship, behaviour and community Celebrating Differences: cultural differences, bullying and racism, challenging assumptions, judging by appearance, Understanding influences, Problem-Solving, Identifying how special and unique everyone is. There is a weekly PSHE (Personal, Social, Health Economic Development) lesson.
