SGA Distinction Award: Lehman Student Veteran From the Student Government Association (SGA), the student government of Lehman College

Award: The SGA Distinction award for military veteran students will be awarded to 2 students, eachreceiving an award of $300.

Eligibility: Must be enrolled in the Spring 2013 semester Must be a veteran or service member Must be an undergraduate student with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above OR a first semester student OR current graduate student and must have a cumulative GPA of 2.7

Process: Complete and submit the application, including the declaration form on the reverse side. In addition applicants must also submit the following materials:

(1) Lehman unofficial transcript(2) Proof of attendance at Lehman College (A photocopy of your validated ID will suffice) (3) Must show proof of military service (I.E. DD214 or letter from the office of veteran

affairs)(4) Personal Statement

Submit all requested information to Old Gym building room 007 in a sealed envelope addressed to: Lehman College Student Government – Distinction Award CommitteeSGA – OG Room 007 Personal Statement (1 to 3 pages)Write a one to three page essay addressing the following:

Choose an important situation in your life and explain how the experience was like for you. How did it impact your life? What did you get out of this situation?

Please make sure the composition is both double spaced and in Times New Roman ‘12’ Font.

Deadline: April 18th, 2013. No Later than 7pm
