HomeworkYour child has received a spiral notebook/planner. In 5th grade, teachers instruct students to write their homework in the planner each day. Please make sure to look over your child’s planner every day. We ask that you initial each school day. We appreciate your support in helping your child become a responsible and successful student.
Family TreePerformance Assessment-This week we will begin our Family Tree / Heritage Project. Most of this will be completed AT SCHOOL unless a student is absent. Please read the instructions I sent home and especially the due date. It’s a good idea to ask your child what part they are on so they will make sure they are completing it on time. This will count as a Social Studies test grade.

Read, Read, Read-
We read for 20 minutes each night as part of our reading homework. This is usually the only homework that is given in reading. It will be part of the homework average for the nine weeks. Students have been given a Book Bingo incentive and I am encouraging them to work on this throughout the nine weeks. Please take the time and look over this and discuss it with your child.
