With the help of the world’s first 17-speaker Mark Levinson® Premium Surround Sound System, guests can experience the pleasure of driving this new luxury sedan by virtually taking a ride through the cityscape of Hong Kong, whilst enjoying the booming surround sound equivalent of a concert hall in the Grand Theatre.The new 7th generation Lexus ES midsize luxury sedan is of course the focus of the Festival Walk car show, as the model offers up to ten colours, two of which was inspired by the snow and sunlight in order to create a hue that blends in perfectly with nature. The attractive new designs definitely catch the eye of all car lovers and appeal to all tastes.
The opening ceremony of the new Lexus ESThe opening ceremony featured an orchestra and acted as the opening act for ES's exclusive Mark Levinson® Premium Surround Sound system. Ms. Stevie Wong, the Chief Executive Officer, Greater China, Inchcape said “At the beginning of this year, Lexus's flagship 5th generation luxury car LS has achieved unprecedented success in Hong Kong, proving that brand concept ‘Experience Amazing’ is widely recognized by all. Our next step as a car brand that looks into the future, we aim to push the 7th generation ES to uncharted new heights. This ambitious ES series has redefined the standards for midsize luxury sedans, and we are confident that the new ES model will attract even more customers who are pursuing a premium luxury experience.”
The brand has also invited the car lover Christine Kuo to personally try out the immersive cabin experience, and truly enjoy the pleasure brought by the 7th generation ES. She has also shared with us her October wedding preparations with her race driver fiancé William Lok, as well as needing a sedan just like the 7th generation ES, when it’s time to build her own family. She quipped how the ES is practical yet stunning, with a silhouette similar to a convertible, yet features a spacious cabin, perfect for driving around for work and family.
Afterwards, the officiating guests hosted the opening and toasting ceremony of the 7th generation Lexus ES car show, including Actress Christine Kuo, the Chief Executive Officer, Greater China, Inchcape, Ms. Stevie Wong and ES Chief Engineer Yasuhiro Sakakibara.
Lexus Chief Engineer shares design concepts│The elegance and contemporary image of the 7th generation Lexus ESThe development team, led by ES Chief Engineer Yasuhiro Sakakibara, has brought a radical change to the 7th-generation Lexus ES from the inside out, as well as sharing the design concept of the new 7th-generation ES at the event. “When we came about to the 7th-generation ES, we specifically improved the driving and riding point of views, inspiring interaction between the driver and the passenger every day. We hope people enjoy
the quality of the car in multiple aspects, as well as offering a passionate, comforting and tranquil driving experience.” Lexus has redefined the ES series as a “Luxury Sedan”, which offers a comfortable, and stability riding and driving experience. Furthermore, modern designs and various performance enhancements have also contributed to the upgrade of the sedan’s quality in general.
The new Lexus ES exterior design continues the "Yet Philosophy", with a nearly 5-meter long stunning coupé-like silhouette, its cabin interior is now the most spacious and refined in the same class of luxury cars, with its appearance oozing a sense elegance and comfort like no other. The silhouette of the ES’s tail has undergone significant modifications to create a more streamlined visual, which has more individuality and wider than cars of the same-class or older versions of the ES. The iconic water tank cover covers the entire front, with silver-wave chrome stripes extending outwards, resulting in a domineering and aggressive appearance.
The design and features in the cabin are top level, as the new ES merged the Japanese culture of being meticulous into the cabin design. Furthermore, the user-friendly console allows the driver to control all the buttons without having to move the body in an exaggerating way. The cabin features are also a class of their own: Lexus climate concierge; a panoramic sunroof, the color head-up display, wireless phone charger with Qi-standard and many more, rounds up the essence of being the elegant midsize luxury sedan that is the Lexus ES.
The ES’s dynamic designs take centre stageA comprehensive improvement on driving experience is also the most important aspect of redefining the Lexus ES. The newly developed 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine is equipped with a new piston displacement, a VVTi-E piston valve, D-4S multi-point cylinder and many more. Furthermore, together with the newly developed Direct Shift 8AT gearbox, and replacing a wider range of gear ratios, the acceleration is now smoother, more sturdy, and fuel consumption is 20% less than the previous generation.
In addition to the enhanced power output of the 7th generation ES, Lexus has also made changes to the chassis system, giving the car a new foundation. Introducing the new GA-K chassis platform for the first time, along with the newly design double-wishbone suspension system, resulting in a low centre of gravity, lightweight and a highly rigid body, allowing the driver to experience an excellent driving stability, a better feel of the road, and a comfort level unparalleled with others.
