Marcus HS Track and Field Volunteers Descriptions

Snack Bag AssemblyDone the day before the meet and delivered to the school that afternoon. Coaches will distribute bags prior to loading the bus on meet day

Hydration (Water and Gatorade)Provide water and Gatorade for the athletes at the meets. Fill coolers with water and ice or Gatorade and ice. Gatorade powder and cups will be provided. Transport coolers to and from the track meets. (Booster club will reimburse for ice – one bag of ice per cooler) Banquet Assist with registration, decorating, setting up and breaking down (if needed), senior awards, video presentation and other duties as assigned.

Middle School Meets (Four (4) regular meets and District Meet) – Schedule TBDWork 2 hour shifts in the following areas from 4:30 – 8:30:

Concessions – work the window (food and drink sales), clean upGrill Maters – grill burgers and hotdogsPole Vault/Throw Gate- Collect entry feesMain Entry Gate – Collect entry fees

Website / NewsletterAssist with uploading pictures, updating roster, adding links and results from events

PhotographersTake pictures of each event and submit to webmaster for upload to site. Need one person per event.

Running EventsTriple Jump / Long JumpPole VaultDiscus/Shot Put

Team Dinners / SocialsOrganize the team meal, set up and clean up duties. Coordinate additional team bonding activities: pot lucks at other team members homes, movie night at Cinemark 8, meet at the Shops of HV Christmas tree for caroling, etc.

FundraisingAssist with raising funds for the track club to help purchase equipment, fund scholarships, awards, etc.

Spirit Wear Assist with ordering, selling and/or passing out items (as needed)
