Job SummaryTo support the Northern Division MD and Commercial Director and their leadership teams in strategic and operational management of HR, in order to achieve/exceed group profit, cash and growth goals by providing outstanding HR support and advice.
Typical Tasks & Activities
Build effective relationships with the Directors and their leadership teams, demonstrating the business value that can be added by the HR function
Encourage the integration of HR best practice into working practises and business planning Provide senior level coaching Develop and cascade agreed HR initiatives, ensuring efficient and effective rollout to the
business To take accountability for developing and delivering the HR operating plan in the area of
responsibility Drive employee engagement including championing the engagement survey, and ensuring
the feedback is turned into tangible actions at business, regional and branch/team levels Provide professional HR advice and support on a range of highly complex and sensitive issues
including disciplinary, grievance, capability and appeals, and support the HR Advisors with day to day employee relations cases
Undertake talent and succession planning reviews, ensuring that there is a constant drive to raise the levels of capability across the business
Identify the training and development agenda within the business areas, and work with the Learning and Development Manager to implement appropriate actions
Support the salary and bonus review processes Manage any business reorganisations, including TUPE in/out Continually strive to raise management capability so managers are more confident and self-
sufficient in all areas of people management Work with the wider Buildbase HR function, sharing best practice and supporting Buildbase

Skills & Experience
May 2019
Essential: Experience of working in a “business
partnering” capacity, preferably in multi-site environment
Sound, up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation
Ability to prioritise a demanding workload and to meet deadlines
Good organisation and administration skills
Personal integrity, dependability and confidentiality
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Must be able to work with Managers to make decisions on actions required for Employee Relations work
Desirable: Graduate calibre and member of the
CIPD ideally
