4. You will be prompted to complete ‘Registration Information’ which includes creating a ‘new password’.

5. You will then be directed to your existing CSO teacher account.

6. You then need to “Join a School” located on the lower right of your screen. Your trainer will provide you with a code to join the ____ Grade School.

Online Teacher Manual:

1. Click on the Resource button at the top left of the screen.

2. Click on “Smithsonian Science for the Classroom” on the left hand side of your screen.

3. Click “Engineering Design.”

4. Click “How Can We Provide Energy to People’s Homes?”.

5. Find the Teacher’s Guide. Click on the book or the play button.

6. Click the screen. A blue bar should pop up. Click the three lined bars in the upper left corner of the blue bar.

7. There will be four icons that show up.

The first icon, , is for your table of contents.

The next icon, , links you to any notes that you have “sticky-noted,” or anything you have highlighted in your online teacher manual.

The third icon, , bookmarks pages within your online teacher manual.

The last icon, , is all the blackline masters.

8. You can navigate your online manual either by clicking the blue arrows on the sides OR through your table of contents.

Create and make notes within your manual:

1. Click on the page you would like your note on.2. Click on the green “sticky-note” icon, located on the bottom right of your screen.

3. Click where you would like your note to go. Once out of your note, you can drag your note wherever you would like it to be.
