The National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls is committed to honouring the spirits of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls (MMIWG) and offering support to families and survivors of violence.

How to Apply:
Eligible organizations are invited submit their proposal to the National Inquiry Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls for a maximum of $25,000 (including applicable taxes) for a gathering or event held before June 30, 2019.
Completed applications must be submitted to [email protected] no later than Tuesday April 2, 2019 at 11:59 pm (Central Standard Time).
Although organizations are invited to submit one proposal, applicants may choose to partner with other organizations to pool funds for a larger event.
Requests for funding may exceed funds available and therefore not all proposals may be approved.
Event activities must not begin before confirmation of approval is obtained. Please note: Once approved, a contract will be established with the organization.
After the event has been held, the organization will submit an invoice for the total expenses incurred to host the event with supporting receipts. Payment will be made upon receipt of the invoice only after the event and cannot exceed the $25,000 (including applicable taxes).
Examples of events may include feasts, traditional ceremonies, gatherings, and events aimed at supporting healing among families and survivors of violence.
