Huw Thomas – friend and trustee (1939 – 2018) We are sad to report that charity Trustee Huw Thomas died in May. Huw had a career as a health service administrator and manager before retiring and working for the Aga Khan Foundation supporting the setting up of a district general hospital in Tajikistan. He was also a climber, mountain rescuer, and actor in his spare time, lifelong member of the labour party and campaigner for local health services. I knew Huw from the early 1980s when I chaired the staff side committee of North West Wales NHS and was always impressed by his concern that all voices were heard regardless of status. I was delighted, when we set up the charity to promote our work with vulnerable children and families, that Huw agreed to be a trustee. He brought years of experience and practical advice to our work and was always keen to make sure that we were making sound financial decisions. Huw was a long standing friend who sailed regularly with my husband and we will miss him very much. He sponsored a hundred year old oak tree in Treborth that has a plaque with his name on it, a great place to go and remember him. Judy Hutchings

Huw Thomas – friend and trustee(1939 – 2018)

We are sad to report that charity Trustee Huw Thomas died in May. Huw had a career as a health service administrator and manager before retiring and working for the Aga Khan Foundation supporting the setting up of a district general hospital in Tajikistan. He was also a climber, mountain rescuer, and actor in

his spare time, lifelong member of the labour party and campaigner for local health services.
