In order to promote reading for pleasure, all our classes drop everything and read for at least ten minutes every day. We call it DEAR time. Sometimes the children read to themselves and sometimes the adults read to the class. Why not try DEAR time at home? Reading for just ten minutes a day has a huge impact on children’s school work and life chances.
