The competition, which is open to all students, up to the age of sixteen years, will require participants to respond, in 500 words or less, to the question “How has the cruise industry improved my country?” Essays will be judged locally in two categories; junior division – ages 12 and under and senior division – ages 13 years to 16 years; and one winner from each category will be chosen to represent the country at the regional level of the competition. First place winners from each category at the regional level will receive an individual prize of US$3,000 along with an additional US$3,000 for their respective schools and will be invited to accept their prizes at the FCCA Caribbean Cruise Conference in Cozumel, Mexico in October, 2015 with travel expenses paid for by the FCCA. Through this competition, the local and global cruise industry and its many benefits to the overall economy become topics of discussion among the country’s youth and enhance the awareness of the diversity of the tourism industry and the many career options that are available. Win up to US$3,000 in the FCCA Children’s Essay Contest

The Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA), together with the Tourism Development Company Limited (TDC), will once again host its annual Children’s Essay Competition.
