Poem: Butterfly, Butterfly. I have split the poem into three parts. Learn one each day.
- Discuss: What is the title? What is the name of the poet? What is the poem about? Can you list the verbs used in this poem? Can you think of more verbs? Remember verbs are ‘doing words’ for example fly, run, jump, skip. Can you find the words that rhyme in this poem? Where do you think the butterfly is going when she says ‘good bye’?
- Can you write about what the poem is about and draw a picture to show what happens in the poem.
