Weekly Recap & Looking AheadMath- We are still working hard on Unit 2! This unit is taking longer than I anticipated because of the multi-step word problems...they are hard! I am so proud of the kids for sticking with it! We will continue Unit 2 next week and focus our attention on division with remainders and reviewing the unit! We will take a test on Unit 2 the following week! (I will give you more details on that in the next newsletter-the day we take the test depends on how far we get next week)Writing-We have been working on publishing our personal narratives this week. We will finish publishing next week and focus our attention on the district’s writing assessment the following week. Reading-We worked on summarizing, inferring, questioning, and predicting this week. The kids

their reading! We will continue thinking about our thinking about our thinking/metacognition next week! Spelling-We took our 3rd spelling test today! New words will be coming home on Monday!Science-We started our animal project this week and we are having a blast! The kids are creating a new animal with all different animals’ body parts. They are thinking hard about what it eats, it’s predators, it’s environment and what adaptations the animal needs to survive! Social Studies-We started our geography unit this week and will dive in deeper next week! We will be talking about latitude and longitude, landforms, hemispheres, and other map skills!

So proud of these kiddos!
