The Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas Scholarship Program Haberbosch Family Scholarship Marmaton High School Graduate Scholarship Overview: Several members of the Haberbosch family lived and grew up in Moran, KS and graduated from Marmaton Valley High School (MVHS). It was the wish of Audrey Haberbosch Ellmer, 1948 graduate of MVHS, to establish a scholarship to carry on the family name. The Haberbosch Family Scholarship shall be awarded to two graduating seniors of Marmaton Valley High School, Moran, KS toward tuition to a collegiate university or community college. Students must be enrolled in an accredited institution of higher learning. Scholarship funds will be distributed from the Haberbosch Family Scholarship Fund through the Fort Scott Area Community Foundation and the Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas. Scholarship Requirements: 1. Applicants must be a graduating senior at Marmaton High School, Moran, KS. 2. Recipients are required to have earned a 3.5 GPA at the time of application. 3. Applicants must show acceptance into a university or community college program at the time of application. 4. One-half of the scholarship ($250) will be awarded prior to the start of the fall semester and one-half ($250) at the start of the spring semester. 5. The student must earn at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average for the first semester of college study to receive funds for the second semester. 6. Scholarship funds will be distributed through the Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas directly to the institution of enrollment for tuition assistance. 7. Any relative of the donor is not eligible to apply due to IRS regulations.

Please return completed application to the Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas. Applications must be postmarked, delivered electronically, or hand delivered no later than March 31.

Strengths and weaknesses Where do you see yourself in 10 years? How do you plan to pay for your education, including what financial help

you have already received and plan to receive?
